There is currently a proposal by the National Marine Fisheries Service to allow unlimited longlining by Hawaii swordfish boats. In the proposal is an increase in the allowed “interactions” (typically that is a euphemism for death, or at least serious injury). As you might guess, I strongly oppose this proposed measure.
