My Journey

Throughout my career as a Product Manager at Google and at other companies, I have found so much joy in mentoring people on their professional and personal journeys (of course, those are usually intertwined). I’ve been so lucky to have amazing teachers in my life, so I’ve felt called to honor them by paying it forwards. As a manager or co-worker, I always aspire to be a kind, empathetic leader who empowers people to show up as their most authentic selves, do their best work, and live happy, healthy, balanced lives. I’m not perfect (nobody is), but I am passionate about getting better and better at this.

Life has a way of challenging us either to grow or to dig in to our old ways of being. I’ve had my fair share of bumps and bruises, both personally and professionally. Sometimes I’ve dug in and suffered for it. Sometimes I’ve chosen to try different approaches and seen the beauty of learning more about myself. And, sometimes, when I wasn’t willing to make the hard decisions, the world found a way to force me down a new path. I’m grateful for all of it, but it certainly hasn’t always been easy or enjoyable.

My Work

I’ve learned a lot along my journey and explored many approaches to self-improvement, including meditation, retreats, nature-based practices, group-work, and ceremonies. I do not claim to be an expert on any of these things; too much damage is already being done by people claiming to be “teachers” long before they’ve earned such a title. For full disclosure, I am new at offering this as a paid service since all my past work has been through my full-time employment or as a volunteer.

I am confident (based on experience) that I have a lot to offer when there’s good fit. Please contact me if you’d like to work with me on your professional growth, whether it’s navigating a career transition, finding more joy and alignment in your work, cultivating more work-life balance, or revising your resume to get your dream job (read my article “The 10-second Resume” that has over 20,000 views).

If I see that you can benefit from a program or approach I’ve tried myself, I will point you in that direction. My goal is to put myself out of a job and empower you to keep going on your own. We need you out there bringing your whole self to whatever you do.

Ready? Contact Me.

Please share a bit about yourself so I have some context before I respond to you. I value your time and my time, so let’s make our first connection a great one.
